Inclusion Specialist

The Inclusion Specialist will work 20 hours a week and will assist child care providers to include children, 0-5 years with special needs and challenging behaviors into typical child care settings.  Inclusion Specialist services will include technical assistance, guidance and mentoring to child care providers who have classroom inclusion concerns.  As necessary, Specialist will monitor progress towards stated Individual Education/Family Services Plan goals.  Additional trainings focusing on child guidance and appropriate inclusion curriculum for child care teachers and directors will be provided. Resources, materials, and adaptive equipment will be available for use through the Inclusion Specialist lending library/adaptive equipment resource center.  Services will be available in a variety of early childhood settings. If funds are available, additional equipment and supplies maybe purchased. These Inclusion services for the child care provider will begin upon receiving a referral and obtaining parental permission.
