This activity continues to implement a public information campaign in order to improve access to and use of Smart Start services in Craven County. The Coordinator will build on previous outreach efforts to include Smart Start participation in community events/festivals and visits to outlying areas of the county. Outreach opportunities such as community forums will be held for families to learn more about available services and how to make connections with appropriate agencies. Other outreach opportunities will include: workshops, informational booths, dispersing surveys, technical assistance to the community and Direct Service Providers, prepare and submit press releases or announcements to local media outlets, and dispersing educational information, booklets, children's books, etc.
