The Quality Enhancement (QE) activity consists of two full-time Quality Enhancement Coordinators (QEC) who support the Child Care Resource and Referral staff with Environmental Rating Scale Assessments and technical assistance to child care centers and homes. The QEC is available to assist in the completion of T.E.A.C.H. ("Teacher Education and Compensation Helps") applications and encourage teachers and home providers to continue their education beyond High School. The QE activity also offers grants for accomplishments in education, and star rating improvement. All grants based on the availability of funds. The QEC works with classrooms needing technical assistance with curriculum and environments. Additionally, this activity supports costs for group training, educational supplies and materials, and part of the costs for the child care provider training and recognition event.
